Here are some "insider tips" from Eastman's Technical Service Team for cutting leather with Eastman automated cutting systems:
Leather
– Leather used for office furniture that is thin and pliable is cut with a 1” or 2” round knife. Notches or small internals can be cut with a drag knife.
Leather – Thicker Leather used for belting or straps including hides are cut with a drag knife. Due to the thickness of the material a thin sharp point is required to puncture through the material.
Suede – Suede used for office furniture that is thin and pliable is cut with a 1” or 2” round knife. Notches or small internals can be cut with a drag knife.
