Eastman has many customers cutting PVB and SGP. Here are some insider tips from the Eastman Technical Service team for cutting PVB and for cutting SGP:
PVB – PVB used in the glass industry come off of rolls and can be easily cut with a round knife. The material is typically stretched on the roll so after cutting the pieces will shrink in the length and become slightly larger in width the longer it sits. Manufacturers will cut the pieces slightly oversized and trim in production.
SGP – SGP used in the glass industries and comes in different thickness sheet and is cut with a drag knife.
